Executive Summary

OpenForge is the manufacturing and distribution partner for a growing lineup of hardware products designed by Cysic and proposed by the Cysic community. This partnership keeps the hardware supply chain open and market-driven, allowing Cysic to focus on protocol design, hardware architecture, and ecosystem growth while community-driven proposals shape what gets built.

DogeBox is the first hardware product in this program. It is a purpose-built mining device that also functions as a hardware node for the Cysic network — each unit can cast votes on network actions and governance, perform lightweight edge computation, and validate the Cysic network state root, strengthening correctness and liveness guarantees at the network edge. DogeBox's built-in DOGE/LTC mining capability makes node participation sustainable in practice: mined coins offset electricity costs, so node runners can contribute to the network without ongoing out-of-pocket bills. In short, it turns a mining device into a self-sustaining, always-on node that supports Cysic's long-term decentralization.

A portion of commercial profits from every hardware product in the program is directed back into Cysic's hardware R&D and ecosystem building — tooling, integrations, and developer/community initiatives that expand adoption of Cysic's ComputeFi network. OpenForge and Cysic continue to collaborate on upcoming releases from the community roadmap, including next-generation designs, zero-knowledge (ZK)-related hardware, and AI-focused hardware — all aimed at improving performance, efficiency, and accessibility for verifiable compute and intelligent workloads.
